The Ancient Legacy of Matheswara Swamy

The roots of this sacred ground trace back to the era of Sri Venkatasamy Naidu's estate in Naickenpalayam. Legend speaks of an ancient Swayambhu (self-manifested) Sivalingam that has been revered for generations under the shade of a magnificent, centuries-old Neem Tree.

This spot, known as Matheswara Kovil, has long been a place of immense spiritual vibration, where local villagers sought blessings from Lord Matheswara. The presence of the Neem tree—so deeply associated with Shirdi Sai Baba's early days—served as a precursor to the temple's eventual destiny.

Sri Sivanesa Swamigal – The Divine Link to Shirdi

Sri Sivanesa Swamigal was a beacon of selfless service and devotion, having spent over four decades in Shirdi serving at the Chavadi and managing the temple affairs. His life was an embodiment of Baba's teachings.

His connection to this land was profound. Even after his Mahasamadhi in 1996, his spiritual guidance continued to direct his followers toward Naickenpalayam, eventually leading to the identification of this site as a second Shirdi (Dakshina Shirdi).

Our Core Mission

A Living Center of Faith, Service, and Annadhanam

Following Baba's principle that service to humanity is service to God, the temple is more than just a place of worship—it's a hub of community empowerment.

Daily Annadhanam ensures that no one leaves the temple hungry, while our prayer halls and mandapams provide spaces for spiritual seekers to engage in collective chanting and deep meditation. We welcome everyone, echoing the universal message: "Everyone's Master is One."

A Sanctuary of Peace and Blessings

"Why fear when I am here? Cast all your burdens on me and I shall bear them."

We invite you to visit the Sree Shirdi Saibaba Matheswara Temple. Come and experience the stillness, the devotion, and the grace. Carry with you the two pillars of Baba's path: Shraddha (Faith) and Saburi (Patience).
